Integration audit
A productised, fixed-fee audit of an existing integration estate. Independent, written up, delivered in ten working days, and structured so the audit fee turns into project budget if you move forward with us.
The practice
How we run integration audit.
The Integration audit is a fixed-fee, fixed-scope engagement. You commission us to review your existing integration estate, we produce a written report and walk you through it on a call, and you decide what to do with the findings. Ten working days from kickoff to deliverable. £1,500 flat. No surprise costs, no obligation to commission further work. If you do commission project work or a support retainer with us within thirty days of audit sign-off, the audit fee is credited back against that work in full.
What we look at: the flows you currently have shipped, connector versions and deprecation risk, failure modes and historical incident patterns, throughput and performance, cost and consumption signals, security and credentials hygiene, operational handover quality (runbooks, monitoring, on-call), and the Patchworks-specific posture (flow health, connector versions, runbook coverage). For estates that aren't on Patchworks, the iPaaS-layer review is adapted to whatever the integration is actually running on.
What you get: a written PDF report covering findings, risks, recommendations and a priority order; a one-hour follow-up call to walk through it with whoever from your team needs to be in the room; and the option to convert any of the recommendations into a scoped piece of project work, with the audit fee credited against that work within the thirty-day window.
Who this is for: estate owners who have inherited integrations they didn't build, integrations that aren't behaving the way they used to, integrations being considered for migration, and merchants who want a senior independent view before committing to a build or a re-build. The audit is platform-agnostic on the storefront and ERP side and is built around our Patchworks practice on the iPaaS side, though it applies equally well to integrations on other middleware.
There is also a Tapestry to Core variant of the audit at £750, focused specifically on the migration shape for Patchworks Tapestry estates moving to Patchworks Core: current flow inventory, dependency map, what Core handles differently, and a cost and effort estimate for the move. Same ten-working-day window. Same thirty-day credit policy.

Questions
Common questions.
-
01 What is and isn't in scope for the audit?
In scope: the flows you have shipped (or are about to ship), connector versions and deprecation risk, failure modes and historical incidents, throughput and performance, cost and consumption signals, security and credentials hygiene, operational handover quality, and the Patchworks-specific posture. Anything explicitly out of scope is named in the kickoff call so there are no surprises against the ten-working-day clock. -
02 Does the credit apply to a retainer as well as project work?
Yes. The credit applies to any piece of work commissioned within thirty days of audit sign-off, including a support retainer. £1,500 off the first month's retainer or the first project invoice. -
03 Can the audit cover integrations that aren't on Patchworks?
Yes. The audit framework is platform-agnostic. We have audited integrations on other iPaaS platforms and on bespoke middleware. The Patchworks-specific posture review is replaced with an equivalent review against whatever the integration is actually running on. -
04 What do you need from us to start?
Read-only access to the integrations being audited (typically the iPaaS account, the ERP and the storefront), a short introductory call with the operations and engineering owners, and a list of incidents from the last six to twelve months. We agree the scope explicitly in the kickoff call so the ten-working-day clock starts against a defined deliverable. -
05 How is the Tapestry to Core audit different from the standard one?
Different in focus, not in shape. The Tapestry to Core audit centres on the migration: current flow inventory, the dependency map, what Patchworks Core handles differently from Tapestry, and a cost and effort estimate for the move. The standard audit covers a wider operational review of an existing estate. Same deliverable format and the same credit policy on both.
