About

Built and run by people who write the integrations themselves.

Cirql Works is a UK ecommerce consultancy based in Manchester. We’re a certified Patchworks Partner Agency, a NetSuite consultancy and an AI enablement partner, with the same team across all three. We built PatchBuddy too, the world’s first AIiPaaS, in production since January 2026.

How we work

Less consultancy. More engineering.

We are technically led. The team that writes the proposal is the team that scopes the integration, ships it, and supports it under SLA. We don’t hand engagements down a chain; the engineer who first speaks to you is generally the engineer answering your support ticket two years later.

We deliver across Patchworks integration, NetSuite consultancy and AI enablement, with bespoke integration and ongoing support as the connective practices that hold a client relationship together. PatchBuddy is the proof point: we built the integration agency’s own AI agent and put it into production on a customer connector. The discipline that ships PatchBuddy ships the rest of our work.

Clients we work with span the UK, Europe, North America and Australia. We are based in Manchester, we deliver remotely, and we travel to a client site when the work warrants it. British engineering rigour, not consultancy fluff.

We don’t advertise what we could achieve. Every service, platform and integration on this site is something we’ve already shipped. Usually more than once, usually still running under SLA. The pitch deck and the production estate are the same document. If something isn’t listed, we either haven’t built it yet or we won’t pretend we have.

Who runs it

Founder-led, deliberately small.

Cirql Works is deliberately small, founder-led, and husband-and-wife run. Unusual in the integration agency world; deliberate on our part. The engineer on the discovery call is the engineer writing the integration. The person scoping the engagement is the same person making sure invoices land and timelines hit. Senior associate engineers come in when scope warrants it, never as a layer between you and the work. The market wants this honestly. We publish it.

Founder & Principal Engineer

Gavin Hanson

Spent five years inside Patchworks as Principal Engineer, shipping enough integrations and answering enough 3am pages to know the platform from the inside out. Left in 2024 to start the kind of agency he’d want to hire: senior on every call, no handing the build down a chain, and clients won on the depth of the technical answers rather than the size of the deck.

  • Founded Cirql Works. Certified Patchworks Partner Agency, built around senior-led delivery and the discipline of shipping exactly what was scoped. The person on the discovery call is the person writing the flow.
  • Built PatchBuddy. The world’s first AIiPaaS, in production since January 2026. Absorbs the pattern-heavy build work so senior time stays on the calls, the architecture and the genuinely hard problems. High-touch on the conversations, scaled on the delivery.
  • Co-founded Cylo Limited. Docker orchestrator that pre-dated Kubernetes. Served as COO through to acquisition in 2020.

The thread through all three: production systems that earn their keep day after day, run by people who’d be on the hook if they didn’t.

Operations Director

Charlie Hanson

Runs the side of Cirql Works that makes the engineering side possible. Two decades operating in environments where a missed detail shows up downstream: corporate utilities, educational institutions, and now her own apparel brand alongside an integration agency. The reason a Cirql Works engagement runs to time and budget rather than disappearing into developer-hours.

  • Operations at Cirql Works. The day-to-day: accounting, scheduling, customer liaison, and the scaffolding that keeps the engineering side focused on shipping rather than chasing its own tail.
  • Two decades in corporate and education. Including time at Severn Trent and across a range of educational institutions. Predictable invoicing, clean scheduling, prompt responses, no surprises. Habits learned where they actually matter.
  • Founded an apparel brand in 2025. Operator instincts sharpened on her own P&L as well as ours.

The thread: the unglamorous discipline of making an operation run cleanly, applied to one of the few industries where that’s still a differentiator.
