BigQuery is Google Cloud's serverless data warehouse. It is the default destination for analytical workloads on GCP and a common one for retailers and brands regardless of where their operational systems live, because the pricing and the SQL surface are forgiving.
Patchworks integrates BigQuery as a destination, source or both. Operational data from ecommerce, ERP, WMS and marketing systems lands in BigQuery on schedule or via event triggers; analytical outputs and segments flow back out to operational tools. Idempotency, lineage and clear ownership are the design conversations worth having early.
